Charcoal Making and Woodland Crafts is an option to join onto the second day of our Woodland Design and Management course and learn the art of charcoal making as well as trying your hand at other products that can be gleaned from your coppiced woodland. Join blacksmith and woodsman Adrian who will guide you through building a retort and making your own charcoal as well as well as having a go at making hurdles and wooden shingles.

Other woodland products including an introduction to woodland hand tools
The day will be spent at the Koa Tree Project and in the woodlands of the project.
Lunch and tea and coffee are included.
Bring outdoor clothing and suitable footwear.

Please be aware that any cancellations will be subject to a charge equivalent to 25% of the total unless otherwise discussed. We will endeavour to resell your space if you cannot make it and refund this cahrge although we cannot guarantee this.
Cancellations less than 6 weeks from the date of the course can not be refunded.
